Liquid & Sludge recycling services

Y2B Environmental are pleased to announce the launch of their national liquid & sludge recycling service.

Waste liquid and sludge typically that go for incineration or chemical treatment plants can now be dealt with through our network of specific recycling facilities.

Taking the recycling route has obvious benefits, but there can also be massive cost savings made.

One current client saved £90/Tonne on their liquid waste stream . Taking into account that this particular waste stream totalled near 1500 Tonnes per annum that meant annual cost saving of £135k.

Cost savings are also possible by us accessing the largest network of tankers in the UK, and utilising them on a back haul basis.

The recycling process

All the waste is analysed prior to acceptance to gauge suitability.

Suitable liquid and sludge waste are then consolidated with shredded wood and green waste. This mix is then composted naturally, with the micro-organisms breaking down the constituents of the waste down to beneficial soil nutrients.

Once composted the soil conditioner is then stock piled in the fields which are to be spread. This is done under a Paragraph 7a exemption.

The soil conditioner is then spread around the cropping times of the various crops that are grown, with most of it spread in the Autumn.

This recycling process closes the loop, and adds back to the soils vital organic matter, nutrients and trace elements.

If you want see if Y2B Environmental can steer your waste stream to our recycling facilities and save your company money in the process then email your query to enquiries@y2be.co.uk with a description of the waste stream and if possible detailed analysis.

If you don't have an analysis of the material then we can arrange an analysis to be performed. This is a typical analysis report that you would receive. Analytical Report Sample (pdf)
